    Children and adults alike who suffer from disabilities need considerably more assistance during their primary and secondary education so that they can be ready to function independently after.   Vietnamese people with disabilities experience higher rates of poverty relative to the wider Vietnamese population when accounting for the additional costs of disability [5, 14]. To gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between disability and poverty, this study adopts a qualitative approach to the questions of disability costs.
